This.bird.knits Designs – After the Rain – Pattern Along the coast line of Western Michigan, vast beautiful sand dunes march up to the shores of Lake Michigan. The seed stitch motif in After the Rain reminds me of the way the sand on the dunes looks after it rains, creating lovely little ripples of texture that almost have a geometric pattern to them. This hi-lo, boxy tee is knitted with a 4 ply fingering silk and wool blend that provides both warmth and breathability, along with a lovely drape, making it the perfect piece to knit and wear through Early Spring, Summer and Fall.

Crafty Yarn Council is a great website full of useful information including all the standard symbols for crochet and knitting and all the information on what all those symbols on your yarn tags mean, hook and needle conversion charts and more! They also have all the information on Yarn weights including WPI which is very useful if you lost your tag! The other useful website is Yarnsub – great advice on what you can substitute your yarn for in a pattern. Both websites are worth having in your favourites.
