Samen – Westknits, This top-down shawl uses lace or fingering weight yarn in five different colors. Hold two strands of yarn together and knit thick garter stitch stripes in this top-down triangular shawl. Short rows are added to one half of the triangle in an eyelet stitch pattern, forming a long asymmetrical shape.

Gauge: 20 sts & 36 rows = 4” / 10cm in garter stitch after lightly blocking

Finished Measurements: 108” / 274cm wingspan length, 24” / 61cm along center point from CO to BO. Measurements taken after blocking

Materials Used: Fingering weight held together with lace weight mohair (*Note: The sample features one strand of lace weight mohair silk held together with one strand of fingering weight wool. You can also try a version holding two lace weight yarns together for a thinner fabric or two fingering weight yarns together for a thicker fabric.)

They also have all the information on Yarn weights including WPI which is very useful if you lost your tag!  The other useful website is Yarnsub –  great advice on what you can substitute your yarn for in a pattern. Both websites are worth having in your favourites.
