Description
Amelie Grace – Annabelle – Wide Back is by Maree St Clair, an avid creator with a long-held love of quilting who has been making and designing quilts for over 25 years. Her designs have been published regularly in patchwork & quilting magazines since 2004.
Maree has always loved the fabrics from the 1930’s. These bright happy fabrics, often printed on flour and feed sacks, were produced at a time when there was a large economic depression, and provided makers with colourful, cheery prints for quilts and clothing as a part of their household necessities. Amelie Grace, Maree’s first range for Devonstone Collection, reflects her love of these fabrics and celebrates the ladies in her immediate family.
The collection and two of the prints are named for her two granddaughters Amelie and Grace, and the other prints in the range for her daughters-in-law Sophie, Zoe and Sharie. The Mary & Alice prints honour Maree’s mum and her husband Dennis’ mum. Annabelle is named for a very special friend who was with her when she launched her shop in 2016.
