When we started this business I thought long and hard about the tools and notions I use and prefer. There are so many products and gadgets out in the marketplace that don’t work correctly, are poorly made or are really not necessary and then there are some amazing add on’s when you have an added budget to spend on those little extras like my pink Oliso Iron or Wool Felt ironing mat. This section only has things I use and love and that I think really necessary to complete the projects at hand. You will see things getting added from time to time as I discover something new and wonderful (you can suggest things too!). Named after the Norwegian word for happiness, LYKKE Crafts combine high quality materials and thoughtful design to produce beautiful, durable, happy-making knitting needles and crochet hooks. Our beautiful needles and hooks are handcrafted and assembled in a scenic region of Kathmandu, Nepal. Our production routines do not rely on mechanized automation. Instead, our products benefit from the skilled and graceful human touch of our skilled Nepalese craftspeople. As global demand is increasing for our products, this community of skilled workers is growing too, expanding our output capacity.

We are happy and proud to support the growth and development of the local economy in Nepal. Revenue from the sale of LYKKE Crafts products also serves to Make Happy in that community through varied benefit programs for the workers, their children, and the community.
