Description

Noro Yarn – Rittou – Hinode- Named after the Japanese term for ‘the first day of winter’, this enchanting blend combines the warmth of wool and the durability of mohair, with the soft strength of silk. Rittou marks the end of autumn where all the colors from the leaves begin to turn brown, as they fall from the tree branch. Each colorway has a natural brown wool blended in to give all colorways an autumn tone. The colorways are reminiscent of the dwindling golden sunsets of late autumn, the snow-covered landscapes winter is known for, and the holiday lights adorning the icy streets below. Rittou comes in a generous-sized egg- 150 grams per 361 yards. Welcoming the winter months, one skein at a time.

Eisaku Noro’s unique processes lie behind a beautiful range of colourful and now world-famous yarns. From careful selection of raw materials from around the world to the traditional spinning process, all Noro yarns are made with extraordinary care and focus on hand-made quality. The result is a wonderful multi-coloured range that will make every project a personal work of art.

Craft Yarn Council is a great website full of useful information including all the standard symbols for crochet and knitting and all the information on what all those symbols on your yarn tags mean, hook and needle conversion charts and more! They also have all the information on Yarn weights including WPI which is very useful if you lost your tag!  The other useful website is Yarnsub –  great advice on what you can substitute your yarn for in a pattern. Both websites are worth having in your favourites.
