Tiered Baby Coat & Jacket – Frogginette. How about knitting an adorable swingy little coat for the baby or toddler in your life? Or a cute little jacket? Or both! The pattern is knit top-down, with only minimal finishing. The sleeves are knit in the round. This is a very quick and easy knit!
Gauge: 14 sts x 20 rows = 4 inches or 10 cm in stockinette stitch
Sizes: 0-3mo (3-6mo, 6-12mo, 12-18mo, 2T-3T, 3T-4T) to fit chest sizes 16 (17, 18, 19, 22, 23) inches or 40.5 (43, 46, 48, 56, 58) cm
Finished Measurements: Chest circumferences of 19 (19.5, 21, 22.5, 24, 24.5) inches or 48 (49.5, 53.5, 57.5, 61, 62.5) cm

- Jacket (short) version: approximately 200 (250, 300, 350, 400, 450) yds or 183 (229, 274, 320, 366, 411) m of aran to bulky weight yarn
- Coat (long) version: approximately 250 (300, 350, 400, 500, 550) yds or 229 (274, 320, 366, 457, 503) m of aran to bulky weight yarn
Needle Size:
- 1 pair of US 10 (6mm) circular needles (length should be at least 29 inches), or size needed to get gauge (*Note: pattern is not knit in the round. Circular needles are needed because they hold all the stitches easily and because of their flexibility.)
- 1 set of US 10 (6mm) double-pointed needles, or size needed to get gauge

Crafty Yarn Council is a great website full of useful information including all the standard symbols for crochet and knitting and all the information on what all those symbols on your yarn tags mean, hook and needle conversion charts and more! They also have all the information on Yarn weights including WPI which is very useful if you lost your tag! The other useful website is Yarnsub – great advice on what you can substitute your yarn for in a pattern. Both websites are worth having in your favourites.
