Two Brown Birds – The Owl & the Pussycat – “The Owl and the Pussycat went to sea in a beautiful pea-green boat!” The main characters from Edward Lear’s delightful children’s poem come to life in this pattern. It includes instructions to make the Owl, Pussycat and their boat, as well as the honey, money and guitar. This pattern uses machine stitching, hand stitching, and basic embroidery. Two Brown Birds – The Owl & the Pussycat Material Requirements:
- 20cm x 30cm velour fabric for owl’s body
- 20cm square of brown print cotton fabric for owl’s tummy
- 30cm wool felt or felted wool fabric for pussycat’s body
- 10cm squares of felt in orange, white, light brown, gold, and light pink
- 15cm square felt in red
- 20cm square felt in dark brown
- Stranded embroidery threads to match the felt
- 20cm x 110cm of khaki felt, green cotton print fabric and very stiff iron on interfacing
- polyester toy filling
- 1 pair 10mm wide black safety eyes
- Machine sewing threads to match fabrics for owl, pussycat and boat
- General Sewing supplies
